Cross-border shipping, customs and tracking — explained.
Where we ship, how long it takes, who pays customs duties and VAT, how to track a parcel, and what to do if it is delayed. Cross-border buyers in Greece and the EU are the audience for this page — read it before you place an order, or scroll to the bottom if your country is not on the list.
Where we ship, by region.
We fulfill orders to the regions below from the dispatch hub closest to you. Duties and customs treatment depend on whether the destination is inside or outside the EU customs union — see the customs section below.
Greece (home market)
Standard domestic delivery, no customs step.
EU customs union (27 member states)
Intra-EU delivery, no customs duties. VAT is included in the price you see at checkout.
Europe non-EU (UK, Switzerland, Norway, Iceland, …)
Delivered Duty Unpaid — the carrier collects import duties and VAT from you at the border.
Outside Europe
We currently do not offer standard checkout — use the contact form to request a quote.
How long a parcel takes to reach you.
Business days are Monday–Friday and exclude local public holidays. Times below are estimates from the moment the carrier scans the parcel at our dispatch hub — allow extra time during peak periods and at the customs border.
- Greece3–5 business days
- EU (excl. Greece)5–10 business days
- Europe non-EU7–14 business days
Customs duties and VAT — who pays.
The answer depends on whether the destination is inside the EU customs union or not. We never collect customs duties on the seller's side for non-EU orders — the carrier pays them at the border on your behalf and recovers the amount from you at delivery.
No customs duties. VAT is included at the price you see at checkout — there is nothing extra to pay at the door.
Import duties and any local VAT are NOT included in the price at checkout. The carrier collects the amount due from you at delivery — typically calculated by the destination country's customs authority.
We attach a customs declaration with the correct HS code, declared value, and origin to every cross-border parcel. The carrier handles the rest on the import side.
Tracking availability — what's wired in.
Every parcel leaves the dispatch hub with a carrier tracking number. The tracking URL is emailed to you the same day the parcel is scanned out, and it remains active across customs handoffs until the carrier marks the parcel delivered. Tracking visibility inside the destination country's last-mile network may show fewer updates than domestic — this is a carrier limitation, not a fault of the parcel itself.
What to do when a parcel takes longer than expected.
Most delivery estimates include a buffer; small overruns are common in peak periods and around EU customs clearances. Use the steps below before contacting support — they answer most cases without a ticket.
Wait the upper bound of the estimated window (e.g. 10 business days for intra-EU). Tracking can stay quiet for 2–3 days at a customs handoff — that is normal.
Check the carrier tracking URL for a status update. If the tracking says 'Held at customs', the carrier is waiting on duty/VAT payment from you.
If the upper bound has passed, mail vegerpower@polsia.app with the order ID — we open a carrier investigation and replace the parcel if it is confirmed lost.
What shipping costs, and where the free-shipping threshold kicks in.
Standard shipping is calculated at checkout from destination country and parcel weight. Free shipping applies once the subtotal crosses the threshold for that region — and there is no surcharge for split orders.
